About Alma Grove

Hello, I'm Grace! I am an Art History graduate currently living in Peterborough (the one in England, not Canada). I work for a school doing general internetty online things (my very favourite type of things), and I probably wouldn't have got that job if I hadn't started this blog, so... thanks me, I guess? And you guys for reading, of course.

I am engaged to the very wonderful Alex, which is lovely, and so as the Big Day draws nearer posts might become a bit wedding-centric, for which I apologise in advance. It hopefully won't get too bad as I find wedding blogs a little bit scary.

One of my general aims in life is to find out as much as I can about as many different things as possible, which is probably why a) the things I blog about are quite varied, and b) I'm obsessed with Wikipedia. I'm also a chronic over-thinker, which is why I've rewritten this sentence about seventy billion times.

Why Alma Grove?
Alma Grove was the name of the street I used to live on back in York. It was very pretty, with a lovely big blossoming tree in the middle of the cul-de-sac. To me, it just feels like a very homely name, and I want this to be a homely blog, full of comforts and eccentricities.

The very lovely Rosie created the logo for Alma Grove; here is her one and only blog post if you want to check it out and leave a nice comment for her.
